My graduation cap! After 5 years, I can finally call myself a UCSD grad. Can’t wait for what’s in store, the best is yet to come.
This post is overdue but I ran the Rock n Roll San Diego Half Marathon on June 1st! So proud of myself. I never thought I would get here. Before last July I couldn’t run more than a mile. Can’t wait for future races.
Day 5 of Yoga:
These are my new mala beads! They are made of blue lace agate. They are a wonderful healing stone. Its soft energy is cooling and calming, bringing peace of mind. It is particularly effective for activating and healing the throat chakra. It opens the way to experience of the higher energies. This is one of the great nurturing and supportive stones. It neutralizes anger, inflammation and fever. It promotes self-expression.
I was really drawn to these beads and I love the color and the sound of them hitting each other. I use them within my practice and used them today during Hot Power Fusion at Core Power Yoga in Pacific Beach. It was amazing and such a great way to relax during my ridiculously hard week.
Life is Short
My uncle had to go to the ER on Monday. He has peripheral artery disease. It got so bad that they almost had to amputate his entire leg because all the blood stopped pumping.
It was really scary. The doctors said they think they saved his leg, but it’s not for sure yet.
Life is short, and I really see the consequences for being unhealthy. My life has changed so much ever since I started my job at a health and wellness center on campus. I am such a healthier person than I used to be, but I still have a long way to go.
Ran 10 miles for the first time ever today. Can’t believe I did it. It was so hard and I am so exhausted, but I did it and that’s all that matters. I’m so proud of myself. Only 3.1 miles to go! Can’t believe my half is in 8 days.
